Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional Data Engineer/Architect who is passionate about data and the insights that large amounts of data sets can provide. The ideal candidate will possess both a data engineering background and a strong business acumen that enables him/her to think strategically. He/she will experience a wide range of problem solving situations requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis. The successful candidate will work in lock-step with Data scientists, ML scientists, Business analysts, Product Managers and other stakeholders across organization. He/she will:

• Develop and improve the current data architecture, data quality ,monitoring and data availability.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement advanced analytics algorithms that exploit our rich data sets for statistical analysis, prediction, clustering and machine learning.
• Partner with BAs across teams to build and verify hypothesis to improve the AloPeyk business.
• Help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, simplifying self-service support for internal customers.
• Keep up to date with advances in big data technologies and run pilots to design the data architecture to scale with the increased data sets of customer experience on AloPeyk.

Basic Qualifications

• Proven experience in big data ecosystem implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years' of overall work experience in including Data Engineering, Database Engineering, Business Intelligence.
• Proven experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing, or similar skills.
• Demonstrable skills and experience using SQL with large data sets.
• Proven track record of successful communication of data infrastructure, data models, and data engineering solutions through written communication, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 6+ years experience including Data Engineering, Database Engineering, Business Intelligence
• Knowledge of a programming or scripting language (Python, Perl, or JavaScript)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities.
• An ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired and ambiguity is the norm.
• Experience designing and operating very large Data Warehouses.
• Strong data modeling skills.
• Familiarity with statistical models and data mining algorithms
• Solid communication skills and team player.
• Track record for quickly learning new technologies.
• Solid experience in at least one reporting Tool.
• Excellent communication skills.
