In this job, you need to be highly interested in Linux Infrastructure; meaning that you are great at Linux and network concepts and know how to configure, maintain, and secure services on Linux servers. That’s the priority in this job.

Job Qualification

To be able to do well in this job, you need to:

• Be Familiar with Linux basic concepts (e.g. LPIC1 syllabus)
• Have Experience with Scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python, etc.)
• Be Familiar with Network basic concepts (e.g. Network+ syllabus)
• Have Experience with Docker
• Have Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.)
• Be Familiar with software scalability concepts
• Be Familiar with SQL and NoSQL DB’s
• Have Experience with Git
• Be Familiar with a container orchestration tool (e.g. Kubernetes, Mesos, or Swarm)
• Have Experience in configuring and maintaining CI/CD tools (e.g. Gitlab CI or drone CI)
• Be Familiar with Configuration Management tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Chef, etc.)
• Be Familiar with distributed object storage tools (e.g. MinIO)
• Be Familiar with distributed file storage tools (e.g. GlusterFS or Ceph)
• Have worked with Agile Methodology

Job Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and configuring infrastructure services, considering High Availability, Scalability and Security
• Promote and nurture good team practices especially documentation
• Collaborating closely with teams
• Help shape our technology stack which is always evolving and improving
• Bring vision to the team in the form of new technology recommendations, ideas and approaches
• Proactively mentor junior engineers
